How to Draw a Sand Castle

There are always many tourists on the beach. Some of them are swimming in the water, some are diving, some are walking on the beach, some are lying on the beach and bathing in the sun...

At the beach, kidshave many ways to play. You can pick up shells, build sand castles, catch small crabs... It's hard to count.

And today's drawing tutorial is about a sand castle. Sand brings unlimited creativity to kids. It is the best gift from nature to kids.

Sandcastles should be built a little further from the coast. If it is too close to the coast, the waves will come up in a while, and our work will be washed away.

We're going to get a small shovel ready. Like building a house, start by making a solid foundation for the sandcastle. Next move on to adding sand and designing windows, platforms, roofs, etc. You can also find some nice little rocks to put to the sandcastle for decoration.

Keep watering the sand to keep the mound damp. Gently smooth out the uneven areas with a shovel, and refill some cracked areas with sand. Finally, take the shovel and pat around the wall lightly, and pat and compact it with the palm of your hand.

We all know that sandcastles that take an hour or a day to build will eventually deform and collapse after a high tide or a heavy rain. Play the game of building sand castles and enjoy the process.

How to Draw a Sand Castle Step by Step

Step 1 Draw the flag of this sandcastle

We'll start by drawing the flag at the top of this sandcastle. The same will be done at the top of the annexes of this sand castle later.

Start by drawing a vertical line from top to bottom. Then take a point to the left of this line.

Draw a line from this point to the top of that vertical line. Then draw a line from this point to near the midpoint of the vertical line. This way we get a triangular flag.

Draw a vertical line down from the bottom of this flag. The bottom ends of the two vertical lines we have drawn should be on the same horizontal line.

Step 2 Draw the top of this sandcastle

At the bottom of the already drawn flag, we are going to draw the top of this sandcastle. It is a trapezoid.

At the bottom of that flag, draw a horizontal line from left to right. The pole of that flag should be in the middle of this line.

Draw a line from the left end of this line towards the lower left. Then draw a line from the right end to the bottom right. The bottom ends of these two lines should be on the same horizontal line.

Draw a rectangular window just below that flag. All four corners of it should be smooth.

Step 3 Draw the main body of this sandcastle

At the bottom of that trapezoid, draw a long horizontal line from left to right. Then draw a line from its ends towards the lower left and lower right, respectively.

This way we get the outline of the main body of this sandcastle. It is also trapezoidal.

Draw a rectangular window on the main body of this sandcastle. Its four corners are also smooth, just like the first window we drew.

Finally, next to this window, draw another window that is exactly the same.

Step 4 Draw the door and windows of this sandcastle

We drew two windows on the main body of this sandcastle in the previous step. Now add two more to the right of them.

The two windows are also rectangular and are exactly the same size and shape as the other two windows.

Next we're going to draw a gate on the main body of this sandcastle. It should be in the middle of this sandcastle, and you should draw it bigger.

First draw a curved line from left to right to get an arch. Then draw a vertical line down from each end of this curve.

Step 5 Draw the flag of this sandcastle annex

Draw a flag on the left side of the sandcastle in the same way as in step 1.

Then, in a similar way, draw a flag on the right side of the sandcastle that is symmetrical to the one on the left.

You need to pay attention to where the two flags are, and the height of their bottoms.

Let's move on. Next we're going to draw an annex of this sandcastle.

Step 6 Draw the annex on the left of the sandcastle

At the bottom of the flag on the left, draw a line from left to right to get the top edge of the annex.

Draw a line from the left end of this line towards the lower left. Then draw a line from its right end towards the bottom right.

This way we get the outline of this annex. In the next step we are going to draw its bottom edge.

The bottom of the annex should be at the same level as the gate of the sand castle.

Step 7 Draw the door and windows of this annex

At the bottom of that annex, draw a curved line from left to right to connect its sides.

Then draw two rectangular windows in the upper part of this annex. The position of the window on the left is slightly higher.

In the middle of this annex, draw an upside-down "U" shape as the door of this annex.

So far we have completed the annex on the left side of this sandcastle. Ever thought it looked like a jack-o-lantern?

Step 8 Draw the annex on the right of the sandcastle

In a similar way to the previous step, draw another annex on the right side of this sandcastle.

You can change the position of the windows in this annex without having to exactly match the illustration above.

Draw a horizontal line connecting the two annexes of this sandcastle. The line should go through the bottom of the gate in the middle of this sandcastle.

After drawing the sandcastle, you can also add a beach background to it.

Step 9 Color this sandcastle

As we all know, the color of sand is yellow.

So here we will choose two shades of yellow to color this sandcastle.

And for the three flags of this sandcastle, you can choose any color you like.

Congratulations, you have completed a sandcastle yourself, show it to your parents!
