Whether on city roads or highways, you can often see traffic barricades. It is an obstacle that provides traffic instructions and restricts passing vehicles.
If there is a traffic accident on the road, the road surface is damaged, or the road is being repaired ahead, etc., you will see traffic barricades or a traffic barrier reminding you to slow down and pay attention to safety.
How to Draw a Traffic Barricade Step by Step
Step 1 Draw the left edge of this traffic barricade
Let's look at this traffic barricade first. It looks like a witch hat with a very simple structure.
Let's start by drawing the left edge of this traffic barricade. You just need to draw a straight line from top right to bottom left.
If compared to the right edge of the traffic barrier, the left edge is more sloping and longer.
Step 2 Draw the top surface of this traffic barricade
In the previous step we drew a straight line. Now draw a horizontal oval on top of it to get the top face of this traffic barricade.
Don't make this oval too big. If you've ever seen a traffic barricade, you know it looks a little pointy at the top.
Step 3 Draw the right edge of this traffic barricade
Now let's look at the right end of this oval. From it, draw a straight line towards the bottom right.
The slope of this line is slightly less. This gives the right edge of this traffic barricade.
The bottoms of the left and right edges of this traffic barricade are approximately at the same level.
Step 4 Draw the bottom edge of this traffic barricade
Now draw the bottom edge of this traffic barricade. You can think of it as an incomplete oval.
Draw a curved line connecting the bottoms of the left and right edges of this traffic barricade. The outline of this traffic barricade is complete.
Step 5 Draw the base of this traffic barricade
The bottom of this traffic barricade is a "hat brim"-like structure. This allows it to stand stably on the ground.
Starting from the left edge of this traffic barricade and ending at its right edge, draw a large oval.
Step 6 Add stripes to this traffic barricade
Near the top of this traffic barricade, draw a curved line from left to right.
Draw a left-to-right curve around the middle of this traffic barrier. Then draw another curve below it.
Step 7 Add short lines to this traffic barricade
Add some short lines to this traffic barricade in groups of 2-3.
This makes the traffic barrier look more textured, like it's worn out.
Step 8 Add face to this traffic barricade
In step 6 we added three left-to-right curves to this traffic barricade, which is equivalent to dividing it into four parts.
Now add two short vertical lines for the eyes on the bottom part. Then draw a left-to-right curve under the eyes for the smile and add short lines at the corners of the mouth.
Step 9 Color this cartoon traffic barricade
Traffic barricades generally choose yellow, orange, red and other colors, they alternate with white, can provide obvious warning effect. You can follow this world-wide principle, or you can try it if you have a better idea.
