Whenever it rains, what worries us the most is that it is inconvenient to go out. If you want to go out, you have to bring an umbrella and put on rain boots.
However, although the rain will cause some inconvenience to our travel, the umbrellas of different colors all over the street are also like a beautiful landscape in the city.
Although the primary purpose of the umbrella when it was first invented was to keep out the rain, it is now also commonly used to block the sun and even as a decoration.
How to Draw an Umbrella Easy Step by Step
Step 1 Draw the top of this umbrella
On top of this umbrella, we're going to draw the front end of the handle - a cylinder. You can also draw it as a cone.
Start by drawing a horizontal oval. Then draw a vertical line down from its left end. The same goes for the right end.
The two vertical lines are the same length. Then draw a curved line connecting their bottom ends from left to right. This completes the cylinder.
Step 2 Draw the left side of this umbrella
Let's look towards the left edge of this cylinder. Draw a curved line from it to the bottom left to get the left edge of the umbrella.
Draw a curved line from the bottom of this curve to the lower right. This new curve should be drawn short.
In the next steps, we will keep repeating this step to draw the umbrella.
Step 3 Continue drawing the left side of this umbrella
Still look at that cylinder. Draw a curved line from the bottom of its left edge down to the left.
The bottom end of this curve should connect to the right end of the short curve we drew in the previous step.
Then draw a short curve from the bottom of this curve to the lower right. It will be slightly longer than the short line we drew in the previous step.
Step 4 Draw the middle part of this umbrella
Let's look at the bottom edge of that cylinder. Slightly to the left, draw a curved line to the bottom left.
Its end should join the right end of the short curved line we drew in the previous step.
Then from the bottom end of this curve, draw a slightly arched curve to the right.
Step 5 Draw the right side of this umbrella
Start again from the bottom of the cylinder, this time slightly to the right, and draw a curved line to the bottom right.
Its bottom end should connect to the right end of the horizontal curve we drew in the previous step.
Then draw a short curved line from the bottom of this curve to the upper right.
Step 6 Continue drawing the right side of this umbrella
Find the bottom end of the right edge of that cylinder. From it draw a curved line to the bottom right.
Still from that bottom, draw another curve toward the bottom right. Then connect the bottom ends of the two curved lines you just drew.
So far, we have drawn the umbrella surface of this umbrella. Next, we're going to add patterns to this umbrella surface.
Step 7 Add details to this umbrella
You can design the patterns on the umbrella surface yourself, such as flowers, ducks and so on. But here we will add some polka dots on the umbrella surface.
Just draw some small circles on the umbrella surface of this umbrella. You need to try your best to draw them perfectly.
Finally add a "u" shape on each corner of the bottom of this umbrella.
Step 8 Draw the handle of this umbrella
Continue adding polka dots to the umbrella surface if you didn't draw them completely in the previous step.
On top of this umbrella, draw some vertical blade-like shapes. This represents rain.
Find the middle point of the bottom of this umbrella surface. Draw two vertical lines down the sides of it. Then draw a cylinder at the bottom of them to complete the umbrella handle.
Step 9 Color this simple umbrella
When choosing colors for the coloring of this umbrella, you can choose any colors you like. Umbrellas in this world come in various colors and patterns.
Here we're going to color the umbrella surface dark red. Then color the umbrella handle gray and choose coffee color at its end.
Please make your own choice to make this umbrella unique. You can even pull out your own umbrella as a reference!
