How to Draw Arizona Desert Step by Step

Step 1 Draw the sun

First draw a circle to get the sun. You need to draw it bigger.

If the paper is divided into upper and lower parts, its position should be on the upper part and near the bottom of the upper part.

As we've mentioned in many tutorials, you can find a coin or bottle cap, etc. to draw a perfect circle by tracing its edges.

Step 2 Draw the horizon

Below the sun, draw a long horizontal line to get the skyline.

Leave a gap on the left side of this skyline, we'll draw a cactus through this gap later.

Step 3 Draw a cactus

First draw two vertical lines through that gap. The line on the left is slightly longer, and its top is higher and the bottom is lower.

Then draw two slightly narrower vertical lines above them. Their tops are flush, and the line on the right is slightly longer. From this we get the trunk of this cactus.

Then on both sides of it, draw two branches in a similar way.

Step 4 Draw the ground and weeds

Draw a horizontal line at the bottom of this cactus. Then add some bottom-up curves to get the weeds.

On the left of this cactus, draw a short horizontal line below that skyline.

Step 5 Continue to draw the ground

Add some horizontal lines below the skyline. The further down these horizontal lines are, the longer they are.

So we have drew the ground. The addition of these lines gives the drawing a depth-of-field effect.

Step 6 Draw an animal skull

The environment in the desert is harsh and rain is scarce, and it seems that the bones of various animals are often seen.

We added an animal skull to this drawing. It has two horns, one of which is broken.

Step 7 Draw the left part of a mountain

To the right of the sun, draw the left part of a mountain above the skyline.

You can start by drawing a few short horizontal lines. Then draw curves down to get this part.

Step 8 Draw the right part of the mountain

In a similar way to the previous step, draw the right part of the mountain.

The top of the mountain is slightly higher than the sun, which indicates the time of day and also highlights that the sun is very large.

Step 9 Color this Arizona desert scenery

It's sunset in the Arizona desert, giving us a bizarre and magnificent desert scene. Of course, you can also adjust the time by modifying the coloring to make it early morning, or modifying the position of the sun.
